Return Policy

While we want you to love every piece as much as we do, we understand that sometimes things just aren’t quite right. As such, we’re happy to offer you 30 days to make up your mind. Please see exceptions below.  If you decide something isn’t for you, simply return it to us in the same condition it was received, and we’ll refund the cost of the piece. 

Please note, we are unable to accept returns on the following items:

  • Unwanted items returned after 30 days.
  • Items returned without a House & Hall ‘Return Merchandise Authorization Number’. Please see below 'How to start a return'.
  • Damaged items not notified by telephone to us within 2 working days.

Returns are refunded in the original payment form for the merchandise price, less shipping and handling. Please note, shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, unless the item received is damaged, defective or incorrect.  Taxes charged are refunded in accordance with state and local laws. Returns sent via USPS or FedEx that arrive with postage due will be returned to sender.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt for proof of purchase. 

How to start a return?

To start a return, you can contact us at returns@houseandhall.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll provide you with an RMA#, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. The RMA# must be put on the return label on the exterior of the box for identification purposes.  Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. House and Hall does not assume responsibility for return shipping costs.  Select oversized item returns will be subjected to a restocking fee.

Why is there a restocking fee?

When you return an item, a lot of time, labor, and company cost is required to receive your package and restock your item back into our warehouses. Additionally, the majority of furniture and accessories returned are not packaged to original factory standards or incur damage during transit.

Damages and issues 

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items 

Certain types of items are not eligible for a return, such as customized goods (i.e. paintings with frames), wired or assembled products and product denoted with a no return policy.  We also do not accept returns for used items, altered items or items without original packaging. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on final sale items or international orders and orders outside of the contiguous US.

Exchanges 

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds 

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
